Well worth the effort to go but very expensive at 75 per ticket through Last Minute, children would love it but the cost could be prohibitive to families. This is the second time we have seen a Cirque the first was Saltimbanco in Nottingham which was tremendous and I considered better than Totem, perhaps this was because it was the first one we saw and we did not know what to expect. The content for Totem was very different and one had to use their imagination for the story, although it was there I would still go again to see a different show despite the cost as they are some of the most entertaining shows I have seen including concerts by various pop artists and plays. We were in the highest tear and ideally I would have liked to be in one of the 2 tears below us (although we had a good view of everything). I think being in the higher tear could provide a better view then on the ground floor. I think pretty much the whole way through the show my mouth was open because of the sheer amazement at the stunts these guys perform. I had read that the guide does not tell you a lot about the acts, and cannot seem to find much online, woul dlike to know more about where they are from etc. Definatley worth the money for the ticket and will try get tickets the next time they come around. The acts were all interlaced in such a way as to be flowing seemlessly and there are no stuccato breaks as with normal theatre productions. My wife and I found ALL of the acts interesting and some very different from anything we had seen before. Highly recommended. We saw a matinee Saturday performance and managed to get front row seats - this gives a great perspective to the show The clowns were witty and entertaining and the main acts just breathtaking. The strength, agility and control these performers have must be seen to be believed. Highlights for me were the unicycles (how is that possible) and the boygirl trapeze duet (pure art). Hi-fi aficionados will appreciate the surround sound systemeffects and excellent sound quality. Engineers will be impressed with the automation too - especially for a travelling show that has to work in many different venues. We dont have children ourselves, but those in seats nearby seemed to really enjoy the show too - I overheard one mother comment during the intermission wow, it must be good: Jacks never sat so still and quiet for so long before - I suspect this was praise indeed We are already looking forward to seeing another show in the future Date of experience: January 2012 2 Thank Annie25th This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
